Uses: R-32 component is used in HFC refrigerant blends. It may also be used as a stand-alone refrigerant. Once blended, the HFC gases containing R-32 are used in residential and commercial refrigerant and cooling applications.

Past investigations involving the product – The original anti-dumping duties on imports of the product from the subject country was levied in 2021. Duties are set to expire on 20th December 2026.
Facts of the present case: The Authority had found prima facie evidence on continuation of dumping from the subject country and likelihood of injury to the domestic industry in case of cessation of the anti-dumping. Though the imports have declined but the imports are still coming at price which is below the cost of production of the domestic industry. Further, imports from the subject country continue to be dumped in the Indian market and in third countries. The price attractiveness of the Indian market, injurious exports to other countries, export orientation of producers in the subject country, and significant capacity in the subject country which prima facie indicate a likelihood of dumping and consequential injury on cessation of the anti-dumping duty.
