Facts of present case –The application was filed due to continued subsidisation of imports and increase in imports of Welded Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes from China and Vietnam. The Indian industry in the present case is fragmented in nature since there are more than 100 domestic producers of the subject goods in India. As a result, the application has being filed under Trade Notice 9/2021 dated 29th July 2021. The evidence submitted by the petitioning domestic producers demonstrated there is likelihood of continuation or recurrence of subsidization and injury to the domestic industry in case of expiry of duty in force. The Authority has also noted that there is increase in volume of imports from exporters subject to lower duties, transfer of subsidized raw material from China to Vietnam and overcapacities in the subject countries.
